We can’t wait for you to find the puppy your family has been looking for! We take pride in raising high quality healthy puppies, which is why our parent dogs are health
tested, we meticulously plan litters in advance, puppies are raised on an advanced service dog
curriculum, and more. These dogs are just as much a part of the family as the rest of us and we
want the same for you.

Burkhart Family Puppies
I’m Meagan, owner of our small in-home breeding program in Northwest Iowa. I brought
home my first Toy Aussie, Maya, over 12 years ago and fell in love. We primarily raise Toy
Australian Shepherds and Australian Mountain Doodles. I have a passion for these breeds and
helping families find as much joy from them as our family has. We started with just Aussies, and
over time, we began including Australian Mountain Doodles in our program to bring the best
qualities of the three breeds together. We are committed to raising quality family companions
and setting them up for a lifetime of happiness with you.

Current & Upcoming Litters
About Our Program
- As a Guardian Home, you become a unique member of the Burkhart Family Puppies family.
- You get a high quality pick of the litter pup free of charge and you become that puppy’s forever home.
- Burkhart Family Puppies will retain breeding rights of the dog for a varying length of time.
- For females, this starts at sexual maturity and ends once the female has whelped (given birth) to up to 4 litters depending on the health of the female.
- Male dogs' contracts tend to be longer and they are bred on an “as needed” basis.
- We assure all of our Guardian Home Families that we make decisions regarding each dog based on their well-being and what is best for their overall health and livelihood.
Puppy Curriculum
ENS & ESI
Starting at 3 days old, we begin ENS (early neurological stimulation) and ESI (early scent introduction).
10 Step Handling
At 3 weeks old we move into a more advanced curriculum with our puppies set forth by Jeanette Forrey with 4E Kennels.
Curriculum
Also at 3 weeks, we begin socializing our puppies to different sounds, sights, textures, things to climb on, run through and more.
